About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. White women are slightly more likely to develop breast cancer than African-American women. However, in women under 45, breast cancer is more common in African-American women than white women. Overall, African-American women are more likely to die of breast cancer. Asian, Hispanic, and Native-American women have a lower risk of developing and dying from breast cancer. Female gender is the most important risk factor for breast cancer. Men can develop breast cancer, but the risk for females is about 100 times greater. Please be aware of breast cancer. It is a serious matter. Continue to pray for survivors and those who are experiencing the trials and tribulation to recovery. Spread awareness, Protect The Boobies.
